Interior painting in San Diego

Walls, ceilings, trim, and doors. We cover the floors, fix what paint will not hide, and leave a straight finish.

How does interior painting work in San Diego?

Interior painting from Pacific Coast Contracting covers walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and built-ins in San Diego County homes. The free estimate is based on prep, the condition of the surface, and how many rooms we are coating.

What is included

  • Walls and ceilings
  • Doors, casings, and baseboard
  • Built-ins when they are written into the scope
  • Patching nail holes and hairline cracks before paint
  • Floor and furniture protection
  • A product picked for the room, named on the estimate

What changes the estimate

  • Room count and ceiling height
  • How much patching and sanding the walls need
  • Trim detail, and whether doors are in the scope
  • Empty rooms versus a house you are living in

Prep is the work

We wash, sand, caulk, and spot-prime stains so the color does not flash. Rolling finish paint over a dirty or glossy wall is how a job fails in a year.

Lived-in houses

We can work room by room when you need to stay in the house. Tell us which rooms have to stay usable at night.

Color

Bring a chip or a photo of a color you already like. We will tell you if a south-facing room will read differently than the chip.

Questions on interior painting

How long does an interior repaint take?

A few rooms is often a couple of days once prep is done. A whole house takes longer. Timing goes on the estimate after we see the walls.

Do you move furniture?

We shift light pieces and cover the rest. Large furniture, safes, and fragile items should be moved before we arrive, or called out on the estimate.

Can you paint over glossy trim?

Only after it is sanded or primed so the new coat grabs. We do not roll finish paint over a slick surface.
